There are a number of effective ways to remove dried play doh from carpet.

If the remaining parts trapped in the carpet is still soft flick at it with a ball of pliable white fragments so it leaves no color behind.
A sopping wet cloth will soak the carpet padding.
Apply rubbing alcohol to a paper towel and gently blot the carpet.
Don t soak the cloth but rather just keep it damp.
Brush the play dough off the carpet with a stiff brush to remove any small bits of play dough stuck to the carpet.
Slightly separate the carpet fibers with your hands to reach a bit of deep downplay dough.
Soft solution pick up large or loose pieces of play doh from the carpet by hand.
Make sure you only blot the stain as rubbing could make it worse.
If the stain still remains try to blot the stain in the carpet with a bit of rubbing alcohol on a clean white dishcloth.
Dampen a cloth with hot water and place it on top of the play dough.
This will soften the play dough making it a lot easier to remove.
To tackled dried play doh find a blunt dull object like a butter knife or a nail file or even a spoon and begin to scrape beneath the product to work at removing it from your carpet.
If there is still some soft dough that has made its way deep into the carpet take some white play dough and tap and dab a bit so that the white dough will attack itself to the soft dough deep inside the carpet.
If the remaining substance trapped in the carpet is still soft dab at it with a ball of pliable play doh ideally a white piece so it leaves no color behind.
Simply pick up with hands the soft large pieces of the dough.
Pour a small amount of rubbing alcohol onto a clean paper towel and blot the playdough stain gently to loosen any remaining residue.
Let it sit there for about an hour.
